This report provides an overview of the work undertaken and delivered by people and organisations within the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership since the publication of the Tackling Health Inequalities for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities and Colleagues review in October 2020.
The progress highlighted in this report is illustrative of truly collaborative work and the benefits of working as a partnership. Even when, for example, specific initiatives have been driven by a programme team they still rely on a whole partnership commitment to maximise impact in reducing inequalities. It is critical that, one year on from the review publication and approval of the action plan by the Partnership Board, we recognise this opportunity to briefly pause and review. In doing so, this paper sets out the key successes and acts as a stock take that can form yet another foundation of the Partnership’s ongoing commitments and initiatives to tackle inequalities for colleagues and communities living and working in West Yorkshire.
