The way we want to work together

Collaboration among all partners is essential to achieving the strategic objectives outlined in our equity and fairness strategy. We have agreed a set of principles we can all work towards which build on our West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership principles and are supported by our communications and involvement principles.

These principles serve as the cornerstone of our approach, underpinning our commitment to equity and fairness:

everyone has a role to play in ensuring equity, fairness and justice
we should listen to people’s real-life experiences and act - we will not tolerate
hate, discrimination and violence
we will be courageous, ambitious and transformational
we will use both data and people’s experiences to guide our choices and influence decision-making and to build the trust of our communities and staff
we will strengthen our existing partnerships and work together to connect with marginalised communities.
