White Privilege
This educational workshop covers topics on white privilege, feminism and intersectionality. The session looks at how you can discover some constructive actions you can do to become an effective ally in the fight against racism. The training will cover some of following questions:
- How can people educate themselves about anti-racism?
- How can people support ethnic minorities without appearing to revert to white saviourism?
- How can we best encourage allyship, create spaces and provide opportunity for minorities?
- How can we encourage conversations about race in a meaningful way?
- How can we create an anti-racist workplace and society?
Unconscious bias and racial microaggression
The training is to prompt those watching to question where their beliefs and assumptions originate and how these can impact when they interact with people that are different to themselves.
The aim is to encourage checking ourselves to support a more inclusive environment.
Black History
The workshop covers the Black Lives Matter Campaign and Black History in the UK.
It highlights the journey of the Windrush generation and gives an historical overview of the UK campaigns and protests.
