In 2023/24, NHSE’s Research Engagement Network funded a number of NHS Integrated Care Boards to develop a project around community-led research, which West Yorkshire ICB successfully received funding for and has received further to continue in 2024/25.

We’re excited to share the outcomes of our work to review our maternity and neonatal services and support. This is a real example of co-production and collaboration in action leading to real change and improvements across our Local Maternity and Neonatal Services (LMNS) in West Yorkshire and Harrogate.

In West Yorkshire we have higher numbers of adults with a learning disability receiving long-term support from Local Authorities compared to the rest of England. Recognising this inequality, our ambition is that people with learning disabilities will experience the best possible health care and have improved outcomes from their local health services.
