About the health inequalities team
As a health and care partnership we have made strategic commitments to tackle health inequalities through our 10 big ambitions outlined in our Integrated Care Strategy.
Our health inequalities network brings together different parts of the partnership to share good practice, including through our communities of practice and takes collective action at scale to improve equity. Wherever possible, we invite people with lived experience to contribute to our strategies. The network aims to add value to the system through working together to increase system capability, capacity, intelligence and insight. Working with partners we identify and help to reduce health inequalities due to social, geographical or other barriers. By addressing some of the preventable differences that contribute towards inequality, we are tackling the unjust differences in life expectancy across West Yorkshire.
