Climate Change Strategy
Facing the impending effects of climate change can be frightening but everyone in the health and care sector can contribute, and collaborate, to achieve a future in which there is less inequality, more biodiversity, less pollution, and more human thriving than there is at present.
Our climate change strategy sets out our ambitions on climate and sustainability, establishes the Doughnut Economic Model of managing trade-offs and highlights that we need a risk management approach, all in alignment with the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Strategy 2023.

Our Green Plan
Climate change is a human health issue and we have a huge responsibility to take action on our environmental impact to improve population health and reduce associated health inequalities.
The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Green Plan 2022-2025 highlights some of the work that we’re already doing, sets ambitious targets for the next three years, and draws together the green plans of our NHS Trust as well as targets that have been approved by our partner organisations. It describes the actions that we will take in the next three years and sets the scene for the next iteration of the green plan which will have to have a much more detailed route map to net zero carbon emissions.
