Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is when microbes stop responding to medicines that used to kill or control them, this makes infections harder to treat and threatens the ability of healthcare systems to effectively provide care to patients.
To prevent AMR, we use infection prevention and control (IPC) and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS).
