Year in Review 2024/25
West Yorkshire and Harrogate Local Maternity and Neonatal System (WY&H LMNS) is a partnership of maternity and neonatal service providers, commissioners, local authorities, and Maternity Voices Partnerships working together to transform maternity services in West Yorkshire and Harrogate.
Together we have listened to and worked with women, birthing people, and families by:
- Recruiting an LMNS Maternity & Voices Partnership (MNVP) Strategic Lead
- Supporting our local MNVP leads ensuring provider services are meaningfully engagement enabling service user led quality improvement
- Providing enhanced Continuity of Carer funding, which is being utilised for additional roles to support our service users in greatest need. Trusts continue to develop their enhanced continuity of carer plans in line with the LMNS plan
- Leading a personalised care steering group to identify quality improvement priorities and share learning of innovative practice
- Progressed implementation of a Perinatal Pelvic Health Service
- Working with mental health partners who have implemented maternal mental health services
- Providing a Maternity and Neonatal Independent Senior Advocate service for women and families who have experienced adverse outcomes
- Launched refreshed equity and equality plan
- Continued to deliver our Speak to the Midwife campaign.
