- Bereavement Conversation Prompt Cards - an interactive printout tool for prompting discussions around bereavement. Coproduced by St. Gemma's Hospice, Wakefield Hospice, Overgate Hospice, and West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.
Going through bereavement is a difficult time for those experiencing it, particularly after someone who was important to them has died. A bereaved person may experience shock, anger, depression, hopelessness and isolation, at different stages of their grieving.
Bereavement support needs to be tailored to the needs and preferences of each person. It may include connecting with others, considering the person’s faith and cultural background, and may include self-care.
Bereavement resources in this toolkit include a range of ways to help bereaved people, including discussing how they may be feeling, and developing strategies to cope with their emotions and the loss they are experiencing.
