If you have diabetes you can find out more about diabetes technologies to help you monitor and manage your condition on this page including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and hybrid closed loops (HCL).
A continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is a device for people with diabetes that lets you check your glucose (sugar) levels at any time.
It lets you see patterns in your levels and check if your blood glucose is too high or low. It can help you control your blood glucose levels, as you'll have more information and can take action quickly. See the NHS CGM and hybrid closed loop pages for more information.
If you have type 2 diabetes and have recieved a letter from your GP practice about the CGM devices available to you in West Yorkshire, see our CGM - getting started page.
Hybrid closed loop (HCL) systems link continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) with insulin pump technology to monitor blood glucose and automatically adjust the amount of insulin given through a pump to people living with type 1 diabetes.
