Our ambition
The Macmillan Prehabilitation project at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is a two year project to explore the feasibility of providing prehab to all newly diagnosed cancer patients. Supporting them to engage in physical activity and have nutritional and emotional support. We want people with cancer in Calderdale and Huddersfield to receive the right information at the point of diagnosis to empower them to prepare for their cancer treatment. We want people to be confident to make choices about their care and support shared decision making, as they are the experts when it comes to knowing what help, support and personalised care they need.
