24 hour staff support helpline and online portal
A new employee assistance programme has been launched for all staff working within the health and social care sector across Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.
The programme, delivered by Health Assured, offers structured counselling sessions, legal information, management support, help with financial issues, and family and relationship matters.
You can access emotional support and practical guidance through a free, confidential 24/7 helpline, or via an online portal. Health Assured is also available through an app, available to download on Google Play or the App Store.

This first local event is an open opportunity for colleagues working in Kirklees and Calderdale to take time out to reflect on their experiences of When there isn’t enough time- How do we care within Limits?
Schwartz Rounds provide a structured forum where staff and volunteers, clinical and non-clinical, can come together regularly to discuss the emotional and social aspects of working in healthcare. In this Round, you will hear from locally-based Story Tellers whose experiences should resonate with you and help you to work through your own.
Free to everyone working or volunteering in health and care in Kirklees and Calderdale, the event takes place online on Wednesday 9 March at noon. Tickets available here.
