On Thursday, 6 March, the Personalised Care Programme hosted an insightful event where individuals shared their personal experiences with personal health budgets (PHBs) and how these have transformed their lives and those of their children.
Over 80 health and social care professionals registered for the event, engaging in discussions on key topics such as PHB policies, legal entitlements and the importance of trauma-informed care.
Attendees also explored ways to improve workforce training, support social care professionals in offering PHBs and enhance access to PHBs for children and young people.
Lived experiences took centre stage, providing valuable insight into the real-world impact of personalised care.
Michelle Bennett, Programme Manager – Improving Population Health, said:
“The event sparked great conversations, generating enthusiasm about future possibilities. It was truly inspiring to hear first hand how PHBs are making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”
To further support individuals and professionals, the PHB policy and additional patient information will be available online from early May on our personalised care pages.
