The Government is working to develop a new 10 year plan for the NHS, that is genuinely informed by the views of staff, patients and the public. We want to ensure that this is the case, and the NHS in West Yorkshire is calling on people across the region to join the conversation and make sure our voices shape these plans for the future.
Get involved – your services, your NHS, your say
This local exercise is being led by the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board on behalf of the Health and Care Partnership – our councils, NHS trusts, GP practices, community and social care providers, voluntary sector partners and others. We want to hear from as many people and organisations as possible. That’s why the ICB has launched the West Yorkshire 10-Year Plan webpages, a dedicated hub where everyone can contribute to the conversation and influence the future of the NHS.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Take the West Yorkshire survey – have your say on what truly matters to you.
- Join a workshop – running throughout the beginning of February, the workshops are open to patients, public and health and care staff to join in the discussion.
- Partner with the ICB – are you part of an organisation or community group within our Partnership? Help us gather insights and ensure every voice counts.
Rob Webster, Lead Chief Executive, West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, said: “We have a history of working closely with people and communities across West Yorkshire. In doing so, we always strive to engage with those who are seldom heard or face barriers to engaging with services. We want to do the same here and ensure that this exercise helps shape the future of health and care in our region. We believe diversity is a strength and I encourage everyone to share views and ideas.”
The chance to influence the national plan runs until 14 February 2025. The ICB’s commitment to improving local services will continue and you can give feedback to influence local care via the survey until end of May 2025.
You can start now by sharing your views and experiences through the West Yorkshire survey.
