Becca Spavin has been appointed as the new Programme Director of the West Yorkshire Community Health Services provider Collaborative (WYCHS).
Becca had been working as WYCHS Director on secondment basis over the last 18 months, but following a successful interview process, Becca will now lead the provider collaborative as its new director.
Discussing her appointment, Becca said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed permanently into this role. I look forward to continuing to work with the committed and talented community teams across our eight members organisation that work hard to deliver high quality and compassionate care that helps keep people well, for longer, closer to where they live across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.
Prior to her time at WYCHS, Becca worked with West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts, as a Transformation Manager in Kirklees place and in various roles at Department of Health and Social Care as a civil servant.
Becca lives in Huddersfield with her husband, daughter, three chickens, two guinea pigs and (lots of) fish (no more pets pending she assures). Outside of work she enjoys watching and talking about sport (sadly her active participation in playing is less frequent now) and all things ‘foodie’.
Karen Jackson, sector lead for the community services collaborative and CEO of Locala said “We are all very pleased to have appointed Becca as the new Collaborative Director. Becca has been working with us for some time now and has shown her ability to work well across all our providers and with other sectors. She is absolutely focused on support people to thrive where they live. I am confident that with Becca’s leadership we will make more progress towards this aim in West Yorkshire.”
