We are encouraging partners to use existing opportunities, with groups and networks they already have a trusted relationship with to make sure that our staff, patients, and communities have the opportunity to influence national policy. By working together and sharing opportunities and findings we can reach all the communities we collectively serve and all benefit from the insight gathered.
Please tell us about any opportunities you might have to involve people using this email: wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net. This might be a patient group you run, a list of people you regularly send questionnaires to, a staff group or a partnership network.
If you would like to be kept up-to-date with our work on the 10-Year plan, and new ways of involving people, please give us your contact details here.

There are many ways that your group can get involved in the 10-Year Plan - no matter your needs and capacity. Work is already underway in West Yorkshire. Please read the examples below for inspiration.
- The urgent care blueprint development group wanted to add questions to a survey they were sending out to partners and staff, we were able to support them in adding the questions and feeding back the relevant part of the responses.
- The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership's Long-Term Conditions team did not have capacity to provide a full-scale workshop. We worked with the team to help concentrate on tighter discussions and provide additional resources.
If you would like support in tailoring the 10-Year Plan workshops to your group's needs, or want to share an example of how your group has adapted the workshops to suit your needs, get in touch by emailing wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@
We want as many people as possible to be able to join this conversation about the NHS. To support this, there are a variety of formats and ways to respond to the questions that meet a range of accessibility needs. An easy read for the national survey can be accessed here.
Want to help improve health and social care in West Yorkshire?
Thank you for your interest in getting your group involved in the 10 Year Plan. If your group want to continue to provide views on other health and care issues across West Yorkshire, then consider linking up with West Yorkshire Voice.
The aim of West Yorkshire Voice is to reflect the diverse population and communities from across West Yorkshire. It provides opportunities for people, groups, and organisations to have their say about health and care services. We want to link with all the great work already taking place in local areas, but not duplicate what is already underway.
We want groups and organisations to be involved in a way that works for them, this might be:
- Telling us about any health and care involvement or engagement activities you are running, and we can promote your activity on a local or West Yorkshire wide level.
- Sharing any relevant reports or resources that you have produced or that you want to promote to raise awareness of the issues faced by the communities that you support.
- We can share experiences of health and care services from the communities that you work with and highlight important issues. If there is an issue you want to raise at a West Yorkshire level, we can support this process.
- Linking your networks and groups to West Yorkshire Voice and sharing information about our activities in their local communities.
Find out more about how your group can be involved on our website.
