Our Health Inequalities Academy is a collaborative approach to help close the health and wellbeing gap across West Yorkshire.
Initially, we launched the academy in response to the Covid-19 pandemic which brought a sharper focus on inequalities in our communities, along with a demand for work at scale and pace to improve the lives of people living across our area.
The first Academy took place from 3 to 5 February 2021. Colleagues heard from local and national speakers about the work taking place, before and during Covid-19, to address health inequalities. We held our two-day virtual event to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Health Inequalities Academy on 21 and 22 June 2022. See the event brochure for 2022 for a list of all the speakers and workshops. Our second year anniversary event is planned for 8 and 9 November 2023.
You can find our more about these and other events on the webinars and events page.
