Allied health professionals (AHPs) are dedicated to improving peoples’ health. One of the biggest threats to our health and our planet is climate change. In this animation you can find out how the actions that AHPs take every day can reduce health inequalities and improve the health of our planet.

Things that are on offer with no cost to your organisation
- E-learning for health modules on sustainable healthcare. Link to e-learning for health.
- City Connect promotes walking and cycling in West Yorkshire. Link to City Connect.
- The Travel Plan Network is a free membership scheme for any employer in West Yorkshire who is committed to encouraging their staff to travel to work sustainably. They offer significant benefits and discounts on a range of travel modalities. Link to the Travel Plan Network.
- The Energy Saving Trust has a huge amount of information available to organisations and individuals. Link to Engergy Saving Trust. They offer free fleet reviews for public and private sector organisations. Link to fleet review information.
- The White Rose Forest is one of four community forests in the north of England working together to create the larger Northern Forest that will stretch from Merseyside across Manchester and Yorkshire. They have trees to plant but are looking for land. Link to the White Rose Forest.

Greener NHS is the website covering the efforts of the NHS in England. Link to Greener NHS. On 1 October 2020 they published their strategy document setting out their ambition for the NHS in England to be net carbon zero by 20. Link to Net Zero Health Service.

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare offers strategic input and consultancy on sustainable healthcare research and practice to national and local programmes. Fingertips from Public Health England is a fantastic resource for data on wider determinants of health. Link to Fingertips.

The Dasgupta Review was published on 2 February 2021. It reviews the economics of biodiversity and clearly indicates that we need to be taking biodiveristy into consideration in all our decisions, economic and otherwise. Link to Dasgupta Review.

Many National organisations such as medical Royal Colleges have sustainability or climate change pages on their websites. The UK Health Alliance on Climate Change is an umbrella organisation bringing these groups together. Link to UK Health Alliance on Climate Change.
