At your first pregnancy care appointment your midwife will talk with you about:
- Supplements and vitamins that can help you have a healthy pregnancy
- Nutrition, diet, and physical activity during pregnancy
- Support and information available for things such as smoking and alcohol during pregnancy
- The screening tests that will be offered to you during pregnancy, as well as ultrasound scans
- They will discuss your options and choices as well as answer any questions you may have
- It’s important that you speak to a midwife about how you feel, so that they can offer you help and support if needed.
